This sweet girl is one of my favorites of the 2023 birthing year, Vega was the last cria of the year for Halo Ranch and I couldn't be more happy. Vega is a true black female out of her dam, Virgo, and is just as sweet as her dam and sister, Valeri. Vega is sired by RGSA Dante who is a Goldstar's Vader male out of Way Too Cool. Both are well known in the suri industry as they have produced a number of Judge's Choice offspring and continue to do so. Dante is a true black, Judges Choice winner, that had extreme lock structure to the skin, high luster and a strong conformationally sound body type.

Since purchase Vibes' mom Way Too Cool, I am always excited to see her babies hit the ground. WTC never disappoints and I'm so excited to have this girl in my foundation line up to replace her mom. Vibes is wow, wow, wow! Conformation this girl is solid! Vibes is a big boned sturdy girl with dense lustrous fleece! Opening Vibes' fleece just makes me smile! Vibes is dense, has lots of luster and beautiful lock structure!

This little girl graced us several days after Hurricane Helene ravaged thru Western NC and the farm. So, I felt it fitting to name this little blessing Helene! She's a beauty! Beautiful outline, type and WOW, the fleece! She glows with luster and this little girl was locking up from the start! Helene is the only cria we got from Wyuna before he passed. He was just with us briefly, but he didn't disappoint and this little one will be an amazing legacy. This girl is a WOW! GLR Ali is a full sister to GLR Arappaho, now owned by Pines Edge Suri Alpacas and the 2009 MAPACA and AOBA Black Male Color Champion. She is a beautiful true black Shavano daughter from one of our favorite dams, GLR Allelujah, one of the only Synergy daughters we have ever kept. Her first dance in the show ring was at the 2010 AAA Futurity where she awarded Black Female Reserve Champion as a juvenile. She took first place and Black Female Color Champion at GWAS in Denver, the largest alpaca show in the nation and went on to earn the 2010 Reserve Black Female Color Champion at the AOBA Nationals in Ft. Wayne Indiana. She won Black Female Color Champion, and 2nd in Bred and Owned Female at the 2011 Mapaca Jubilee and she was Black Female Reserve Color Champion at the 2011 AAA Futurity and Black Reserve Color Champion at the 2011 GWAS show. She also won the Black Female Color Championship at the 2011 Suri Network Fleece Show. She is a beautiful girl with great bone, excellent conformation, a lustrous greasy fleece, that desirable wedge shaped head and a sweet, mellow disposition to boot. Ali's 2014 cria is a gorgeous true black daughter GLR Ongeleigh, sired by CInders, who Karl and Jan Heinrich, of Long Hollow Suri Alpacas purchased this fall. Ongeleigh is every bit as beautiful as her mother with incredible fleece, excellent luster, coverage and fineness, a great suri head , straight conformation and that sweet personality she inherited from her mom. We are honored by Karl and Jan's support of our breeding program with their purchase as they both are experts in evaluating and understanding suri fleece. We wish them luck in the show ring and can't wait to see Ongeleigh's cria when she retires to become a mom. Ali's 2015 female cria is yet another true black girl, GLR Alleycat who is just as promising as Ongelleigh and sired once again by Cinders who did well on the show circuit in 2016 in the top of the black juvenile classes and the 2016 Reserve Black Female at the 2016 Mapaca Jubilee. Alleycat ought to be a serious contender as a yearling in the show ring. Ali gave birth 2016 to yet another jet black male cria, GLR Alix.

GLR Amayah is the first offspring Brad and Jandy had on the ranch from GLR Picasso. She is notably at the top of the list of their favorites for their 2012 crop and earned a place on their show string. Her mother was a Grey Color Champion at the AAA Futurity and also the mother of GLR Blackout who was a multiple color champion and a judges choice in his first year of showing as a juvenile. Picasso, Amayah's sire, was one of the first Shavano sons they had and was a Champion himself. Picasso's mother, Rockstars Peruvian Paloma , was a mulitple color champion and has been one of our best producers over the years of award winning cria with excellent fiber characteristics. This girl has a beautiful head, full coverage, a full beard and beautiful luster, lock and conformation. She has no MacGyver in her pedigree on either side. She showed at the three biggest shows in the 2013 show season and was second at both the AAA Futurity and the 2013 MAPACA Jubilee, going on to win Reserve Brown Female Color Champion as a juvenile at the 2013 AOBA Nationals. Amayah in 2014 was the AOA Nationals Brown Female Color Champion the AAA Futurity Brown Female Color Champion and was selected as the 2014 AAA Futurity Judges Choice. She was also the 2014 Suri Network Brown Color Champion in Estes Park. GLR Black Jewel is a dense lustrous true black daughter of GLR Black Pearls, one of a few Shavano daughters out of a super dense mom named Midnight Rock. Platinum Delilah is one our favorite classic grey foundation females in the herd. Her sire is Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar and her mother is Silver Heat's Graysia, making her a 1/2 Accoyo grey girl with some serious grey genetics and a very fun pedigree. GLR Tasani is a beautiful example of the high quality alpacas produced by Great Lakes Ranch. Her sire, GLR Kolaqua, was the 2008 and 2009 National Show Color Champion has produced numerous high quality alpacas since he started his breeding career. Her dam, GLR Tashi, is also another fine example of a high quality alpaca from GLR. Tashi is also the dam to the 2014 MAPACA Judges' Choice female, GLR Tashina. With her colored genetics, great conformation, amazing lock and luster, GLR Tasani is sure to rock it in the show ring!

GLR Charlie is a magnificent little girl. Her sire, Goldstar, needs no introduction as he has been producing high quality offspring for quite some time now. Her Dam, GLR Tanah, is a Cinders daughter and is from GLR Tashina, the 2014 MAPACA Judge's Choice female. Tanah had a great show career as well, winning 3 banners from Nationals, Futurity, and MAPACA. This is her first cria, and she did not disappoint. GLR Echoe is a very nice true black female out of the two time Herdsire of the Year, Cinders, and a beautiful GLR Rastamon daughter, GLR Konosha. Echoe has excellent conformation, a nice degree of luster, and very soft handle. Echoe is a spunky character and is always romping around with the other soon to be moms, pregnancy doesn't slow her down. GLR Kilo is a very nice medium brown female from three time Herdsire of the Year, Cinders, and the 2010 GWAS Judge's Choice, GLR Tica. Kilo has exceptionally fine fleece, as well as great luster and density. Her genetics are packed on both sides and she is sure to be a great producer! Kilo is bred to RGSA Dante for a 2023 cria. Delos, has surprised us many times as he's matured and we only expect him to improve from here.

Hermione is an outstanding white females sired by GLR McQueen. She is exhibiting a high luster, dense fleece with a flat lock structure, top it off with an strong frame with strong bone and straight top line. Look at those fuzzy ears. Her dam, Pearlescence has a strong conformation to add along with a super dense fleece. Hermione's sire, GLR McQueen, only had a chance to go on and produce 9 outstanding cria before his life was cut short by an attack of a cougar. Check out this girls histogram. Violet is a beautiful bay black female out of one of our favorite foundation females on the farm, GLR Tashi. Violet is sired by Black Midnight. Violet experienced a fiber break during the winter 2022 and will not be able to show come 2023 but we can not wait to bring her into our breeding program as her fleece characteristics are divine.

Adonis is a stunning true black/blue black female out of our beautiful black Champion producing dam, GLR Ali. We could not be any more happy with how Adonis is turning out, she has amazing head coverage, bone, conformation and an overall outstanding fleece. Adonis' fleece is just as stunning at skin level as it is on the outside, she has a high luster, fine, cool slick handle. We have never been disappointed by any of Ali's offspring and expect big things from Adonis this year. Adonis had a productive 2022 & 2023 show season and we look forward to seeing what she will do as a production female in the future. Adonis was biopsied in 2024. Adonis welcomed her first cria offspring, a fawn female sired by GLR Bronson.

We purchased Brooklyn as a foundation female for our herd she is has black and grey genetics. Her dam, RGSA Eleanor is a classic silver grey female. Brooklyn's first cria, Bugzy, sired by Zoltar is a stunning true black male with supreme long, lustrous fleece, with full coverage from head to toe and strong bone just like all of his ancestors.

So excited to add this amazing production female to the herd! This Reserve Futurity Winner and National winning PRODUCER is quite the addition. Chica was bred to Vader's Uproar summer of 2020 and is expecting nothing but perfection spring 2021. As a juvenile in 2016, Chica won Reserve Champion at MOPACA and GWAS. In 2017 as a yearling, she won Color Champion at MOPACA and Reserve Champion at Futurity which was the end of her show career. According to the judges, Chica has a very soft hand, she's a beautiful example of a black suri, excellent luster all the way across the body and nice density. One judge commented that he could look at her all day, just beautiful! Sired by Dark Arrow of Harmony who has tons of dense and lustrous black fiber. He was a 2xChampion and has champion offspring. Dam is Silver Marquis’ Plantinum who has Bruno, Uribe and a lot of grey in her heritage. Platinum also has several champion offspring. Chica was bred too MMALP Goldstar’s Vader and gave birth to a beautiful black female, Chiquita, in 2018 who already won a reserve champion as a juvenile. Bred to MMALP Goldstar’s Vader again, Chica had an AWESOME black female Princess Leia who won a Color Champion and Reserve Walking Fleece as a juvenile at the 2020 National Show.

Nyte Force was sired by MMALP Beau's Damion. Damion was shown twice as a juvenile before he developed a tender fleece. He earned a 3rd at The Futurity and a first at MAPACA as a juvenile. Damion's sire was the 3rd generation champion Black Beau of PVA. Black Beau is a Kobe grandson through Diamonte. Damion's dam is Eagle Valley Zambia and she produced the 2018 Light Male Supreme Champion at the AOA Nationals. She is a stud production female with prepotent genetics. She was sired by the great herdsire Pucara Kahuna. Zambia has produced many banner winners including The Futurity 2018 white female color champion. Damion has excellent EPDs and has sired banner winners at both Nationals and The Futurity. It's not just Damion's genetics that produced such a nice black female. Her dam SPAR's Coal Man's Night Skye has great genetics, too. Night Skye is the daughter of 5 time Get of Sire winner and true black male, Suri Peak's Coal Man. Night Skye's is ranked in the Top 25% EPDs for both fleece weight and staple length. Night Skye is a solidly built female with good size and good substance of bone. Her jet black fleece is slick and lustrous. She has plenty of milk for her crias and they have grown quickly. She has produced 5 crias thus far and she has produced 4 black crias while only being bred to black twice. Nyte Force is her first banner winner, but her black 2019 female cria sired by HPR Alaskan Gold shows a lot of promise, too. Nyte Force is a solidly built girl with a good frame and with good substance of bone. She is smaller than her dam and is more average in size. She has outstanding organization to her fleece's lock structure. Her fleece is fine, slick, and lustrous. That luster is a beautiful wet luster. Nyte Force gave birth to a stunning black male sired by Aragorn on 9/15/23. Very excited about this young male!

NEWS FLASH: Gold Strike delivered a strong and healthy, bay black boy June 12th, by Lights Out. He has it all going for him, great shiny fleece, nice head and already showing good coverage. GOLD STRIKE! Luster, Luster, Luster. Beautiful, well locked fleece on a strong frame and the judges loved her. Champion at GWAS and Futurity and her genetics are the best. Gold Strike’s sire is Accoyo Goldstar and her dam is the true black, multi-champion, Midnight Lockdown. Yes, that makes Gold Strike full sister to the amazing, true black, Goldstar's Vader. Gold Strike is a solid girl with strong bone and remarkable regrowth each year, showing clear definition of lock in a dense, lustrous fleece. Gold Strike has proven she produces top quality. Her son, Lazaro, is a multiple fleece Champion and received Advanced Fleece Awards, for scores above 80, at both the 2021 AOA National and Suri Network fleece shows. GLR Joaquin is the a full brother to the two time 2015 Judges Choice True Black Female GLR Jamiyah. He is a gorgeous dark brown like his mother LCA Jaimica, who is also the mother of GLR Rastamon, the 2015 Dark Reserve Herdsire of the Year at the AAA Futurity. Jaimica has produced nothing but champions no matter who she's bred to and this Picasso son looks to be in the running to follow in his siblings footsteps. His luster, lock, coverage and conformation are right up to par and his micron is 17.7. I was so pleased to have the opportunity to purchase Fanfare at the 2024 Futurity Auction! The following day, Fanfare proved himself by winning Fawn Color Champion at the Futurity show. This boy's fleece, type, conformation and pedigree is exactly what I have been looking to infuse into my breeding program! Fanfare has been awarded 10 championships AND the 2023 Buckeye Fall Fest Judge's Choice as well as being the 2024 Futurity Color Champion! He has surpassed his full brother in the show ring. But you would expect nothing less as his dam, WLK Spectacular who was a 5 x Judge's Choice in her own right. She only produces champion offspring - Spectacular Bid, Spectacular's Stella and Raynay's Caprice to name a few. These champion offspring have since produced champions! Fanfare's sire is Sonata's Major Theme by Electrofyre. Major is special because he was one of the first offspring of the Rockstar/Electrofyre crosses. Major's dam is a Rockstar daughter as well as a full sibling to Eldora's Tempo by Rockstar. GLR Tanah is the daughter of GLR Tashina, the very first grey ever to be awarded a Judge's Choice. Tashina was the 2014 AOA, AAA Futurity and MAPACA Grey Female Color Champion. Tanah is one of her sire Cinders' second crop of kids. Cinders made some waves with his first crop of kids in the show ring in 2014 and we eagerly awaited to see how this group of crias developed in 2015. Tanah even as young as she was her first season now showed us the kind of promise we saw in her mother. Her first show was at 6.1 months old at the AAA 2015 Futurity when she placed 2nd and was the youngest alpaca in her class. she was second again as the youngest in her class at the MAPACA Jubilee. She wintered and matured well in 2015 and was Reserve Brown Female Color Champion at the 2016 AOA Nationals, the AAA Futurity, and Brown Female Color Champion at the 2016 MAPACA Jubilee. Tris has a super fine, dense, lustrous fleece. She was unable to show her first year of showing season and her second year of show season was cancelled due to COVID.
